Your favourite voice in music.

Not my favourite band by a long way but I love Kate Pierson out of the B-52s also Kate Bush and Beth Orton:)

Quite a few. But if I have to pick one, as I have said on other threads, it has to be Anneke van Giersbergen

Don’t watch the show but stumbled on this on the old interwebs and could listen to it all day everyday without getting bored…

Found the full version here at about 1hr 38 min. A thing of beauty. Thanks for the heads up.

Excellent. Glad you liked it. I thought it was top.

Richard Hawley is the first that jumps to mind

On a side note have you ever seen the Tiny Desk gig that Chris Stapleton does? The recording of More of You that he sings with his wife is stunning
That is a superb tiny desk concert. Stapleton voice is just stunning.

Two of mine are both deceased. Layne Stayley from Alice In Chains, and Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver.

Both incredible rock vocalists!

Great voice Weiland. Southern drawl and harmony. I’d suggest this guy is very similar, but carries a touch more power

As far as female vocalists go it would be difficult for me to choose between Hope Sandoval, Tanya Donelly and Liz Fraser. But I do write and play songs myself and I do love the sound of my own voice too so the best singer in the world is definitely me.

Stevie Nicks , totally recognisable voice
Steve Ellis , love affair
Tim Booth , James
Willie Nelson
Paloma Faith , underrated voice

Some very interesting picks in there

Try Aaron Neville , he's probably best known for Hercules but his rendition of Summertime is more than a bit interesting and unusual
