Used to be an excellent Italian in Sowerby Bridge, going back 20 years. Mama Mia?

I used to live minutes from The Silk Road and it was indeed excellent. I was walking past there recently and it is still open. I'm now fired up to go and join one of its long tables soon.Don't know if it's still open, but used to love the Silk Road Chinese Restaurant in Camberwell, London. Proper Chinese food, with different regional dishes, not the cack rubbish you get from most Chinese places.
Gianni and Narina ,who ran it were fantastic hosts, always welcoming .Food was always spot on.Used to like Mamma Vittorias on Linthorpe Rd, just along from the Crown. Showing my age, I think it closed in the 90s? Other than that, Kaminaki in Stockton. Sadly that's another covid casualty.
Good to know it's still going RK. I'm heading back tot he UK next march or April and will be sure to call in for an excellent feed.I used to live minutes from The Silk Road and it was indeed excellent.
