I knew who you meant, but some people only know him as 'Fat Ronaldo', which harsh as it may sound, is factually correct these days....I’m sure it didn’t need clarifying, but I meant the other one obv lol
I work with Jocks and I've said he reminds me of Zidane the way he moves, they've ripped me but it's not just his number and club. I agree he's got the potential to be the best. Hopefully the press don't have any dodgy stories about him which they save until just before a major tournament - ***tsI said this on a thread a few weeks ago. Bellingham moves and plays like Zidane. He really does have the potential to be an all time great.
It's the way he effortlessly plays the ball into space with his first touch and uses all parts of his foot to make it difficult for the opposition to read which direction he's going to move. Wonderful players that make it look so easy.
What about outside the PL though?Yeah, has to be Henry for me.
He is the greatest player to play in the PL, by an absolute million miles.
He used to put fear in defenders and more often than not, he won the battle before a ball was kicked.
Never seen anyone come close to what he was capable of, in the Premier League.
That's just inevitable I'm afraid. And if they don't, they'll make one up.I work with Jocks and I've said he reminds me of Zidane the way he moves, they've ripped me but it's not just his number and club. Come on, give us a name TC.I'll say Aaron Connolly, but I'm thinking Messi.
Saw Barca play at Camp Nou in 2007 and he was injured, I was genuinely heartbroken. I had to sit and endure a young whipper snapper from Argentina lead the line, scored 2 including one with his hand. Cheating little rascal..... whatever became of him.Out of all the ones I've seen play live probably Ronaldinho
Wasn't there a game where Bergkamp was injured against us and David Bentley replaced him? Scored a wondeful goal where he also chipped Schwarzer and everyone thought he was the new Dennis...Dennis Bergkamp.
I absolutely loved him. He is the epitome of a great No10 in my opinion. Impeccable close control, flair, skill, strength, capable of moments of game-changing brilliance and a scorer of goals that leave your jaw on the floor. He always seemed to be injured when Arsenal played at the Riverside and I remember being gutted that he wasn’t playing, then one year he did play and scored a ridiculous lob over Schwarzer.
He was footballing perfection.
Bentley is only 6 months older than Cristiano Ronaldo.Wasn't there a game where Bergkamp was injured against us and David Bentley replaced him? Scored a wondeful goal where he also chipped Schwarzer and everyone thought he was the new Dennis...
Bentley was billed as the new Bergkamp for years before he finally came through. That youth team they had when Wenger was a few years in was packed with players tipped for international honours.Wasn't there a game where Bergkamp was injured against us and David Bentley replaced him? I thought you said it was Bergkamp? I seem to remember one like that. That Arsenal side seemed to rip us apart almost every time (except the famous 3-0 win at Highbury, where we battered them from pillar to post ).Bentley was billed as the new Bergkamp for years before he finally came through. I can’t actually remember who scored the lob over Schwarzer I’m thinking of by the way.
Any other of his fond memories you wish to spoil? LolI thought you said it was Bergkamp? I seem to remember one like that. That Arsenal side seemed to rip us apart almost every time (except the famous 3-0 win at Highbury, where we battered them from pillar to post ).
I preferred his off the pitch work.Eric Cantona was a cool cat.. just that extra bit of foreign flair that the premiership brought, a turn of the collar.. and a vicious fooking temper lol
yeah, I mean his poetry and fashion were a big part of it. and then just fooking off at the peak of his career. coolI preferred his off the pitch work.
