Morrisey liked a good yodel (Headmaster Ritual) but that takes you miles from prog rock.

steve howes solo at the end is sublime

That guitar solo at the end Starship Trooper also belongs to the bass guitar of Chris Squire as well as Howe’s lead. (It’s called Wurm) It is as you say sublime.

Went to the Stockton Globe last month to see Steve Hackett, Seconds Out, Genesis Revisited. Top night and great music.

All the Genesis songs mentioned are incredible pieces of music. Let me add the Knife and "Selling England by the Pound. Steve Hacket album "Voyage of the Acolyte" is an oustanding album. Did he not just play in stockton?

Yes - did the whole of Seconds Out along with Genesis and his own stuff. Second time I've seen that show.

Firth of fifth, Genesis, selling England by the pound, went to see them at Newcastle a few weeks ago, it worth worth the admission just for that track, poor old Phil Collins voice has gone though

I've seen Steve live a couple of times since I was first knocked backwards by him at the Coatham Bowl playing "Spectral Mornings". My heart still explodes of the very notion of him playing great guitar while Randy Crawford sings.

Jeff Wayne "War of the Worlds" is one of the best pieces of music ever created. Everyone should have a copy of it. Love the whole album, especialy this track.
