Your Best Prog Rock Track of All Time ?

Focus deffo for me regarded as Prog Rock and Sylvia a great track.

Going back to early Genesis and Cinema Show is a top song as is Firth of Forth from Selling England by the Pound. However can’t beat Supper’s Ready or The Musical Box from Nursery Cryme.

Best prog rock song?

Hmm, I'll have a think about that after I've decided on my favourite bout of piles.
Fair enough each one their own - I have the same feeling about the folk music genre (but wouldn’t come on to a thread to diss It). In fact I probably held a similar opinion about Prog at one time but the older I’ve got I’ve spent time listening to it. Some of it is brilliantly put together, melodic and full of emotion. I concede plenty of it isnt but that’s the same with any musical genre And taste.

There's good material in every genre of music 👍

If asked a few years ago I would have said Close to the Edge - Yes but lately I’ve been immersing myself in Gabriel’s Genesis. There’s a host of candidates but

Suppers Ready, from the album Foxtrot. Wow what a piece of music this is.

You're right on both.

Saw Steve Hackett at the Globe a few weeks back and he played this. 😍
