Away Chester Nov 1966 5-2 great game
Mansfield game was the 3rd round Cappa we beat York 4-0in a second replay at St James park after 1-1 at AP and 0-0 at BC.
You were right though the Mansfield game was awful thousands of Boro there and the team never turned up!
66/67 my 3rd fave season after 73/74 and 86/87

Wow some going that windy, Frank Spraggon made history when he became our 1st ever FAC sub when taking the field replacing give us a goal John O'Rourke, away to Chester

guisborough, my 7th birthday the Plymouth game, big John bagged his 3rd Boro hattrick that afternoon & the 76th at AP , Jonny Crossan scored his 1st home goal & 2nd since his transfer

Halifax was fun me and the good lady driving down in the marina (1300 super delux), night game, cup match. The ball boys were wee ones and the ball kept bouncing over them.

Got in for a squeeze. My Dad lifted my up and we both went through with one click of the turnstile.
I remember going to my first match by myself
1965 can't place who it was against
Total price 3shillings 3 pence (just over 16p for you youngsters)
1s 6d return Marske to Middlesbrough
1s 3d boys end obligatory jumping over the wall into the Bob end when copper had his back turned
6d for programme.
Things were simpler when the world was in black and white
 
My first home was a deranged 3 bed with integral garage en-suit and ground floor wc . Firstvaway game was Chelsea in zds at Wembley in the Chelsea end .
 
First home game of season, August 1965, 1-1 against Man City. Obviously I didn’t get off to a good start - we were relegated and City went up as champions.

First away game was Hull City in August 1968. Lost 3-0

Think the Man City game was Joe Mercers 1st game in charge of City
 
My first home game was Leicester when the lights went out. My first away game was many years later. The playoff game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
