My reading of this thread is on the one hand people are arguing for more centrist policies but when I say well in terms of health that might mean more NHS privatisation there seems to be a bit of surprise 🤦‍♂️

Anyway if you had read my posts you’ll also see I’ve repeatedly said I wait until the 11th which is a few days off because it looks like austerity 2.0 and leaks are saying it will be absolutely brutal in terms of impact and size of the cuts. I think maybe £50 billion and in comparison Cameron cut by £18

Those numbers are definitely wrong but in the ball park.

I remember austerity under the Lib/Con coalition and the way people voted after that was to give the Tories a majority 🤷🏻‍♂️

But I hope to god we don't have austerity and Starmer pins that the public are payong for the Tories/Truss's mess

TBH Stu, I have been reading Exlied's posts for ages so I know he isn't a Tory. BUT I can see why someone who hasn't read most of what he has posted on politics could think that he is a Tory the way he takes every opportunity to bash Starmer and Labour.

When someone would rather not do whatever they can to get the Tories out it is easy for people to assume that the same person actually wants the Tories in. Even I sometimes think he's on the wind up and is a Tory voter!

Thank you...I briefly thought I had gone and got different posters confused.

I do get of course that Starmer is clearly not as left wing as some would like, myself included.

However, it does my nut in when said left wing (hello Owen Jones) would rather pick and carp at a Centre left Labour than concentrate their ire on the worst government in my considerably long life time.

They need to be careful what they wish for....bemoaning the lot of Corbyn may just get you 4 more years of this shower! And that, put simply, will be a disaster for all of us.

A stunt to try to justify further destruction of public services. The Tories are nothing more than a pound shop mafia. Never thought I would see the country deliberately destroyed from the inside like this, but here we are.
