WWIII

I've still got over two years left on my Navy recall after going outside. So no thanks.

That said i can basically look out of my window and see 2 aircraft carriers. So pretty sure I won't be around long if he launches.

'Jokes' aside. I can't see it. He must realise we have our glorious submarine service sat somewhere with everything pointing at Russia.

This is why we have a nuclear deterent. Its the threat of all out destruction that's stops it happing (for all the 'hippies' who oppose it).

There would be no winners. Just passed the big 60, all you young uns watch for the mail and your call up papers. I think it's all BS from a desperate lunatic, which is a greater worry.

You in Gosport?

Yes the most worrying thing is that we have an extreme right wing bunch of charlatans running the country but worse, war mongering rhetoric - it’s almost like they are gagging for one. Sheer madness.
Part of me (hopefully just the tin foil hat wearing part) almost thinks this cabal running our country would quite like a clear out of the proles.

It really irks me how this cabal want to shout from the rooftops everything they are doing in this war. I always thought that secrecy was the name of the game during wartime. I really think the idiot Johnson sees this as some kind of positive press for the nasty party.

Putin openly threatening it, as he is right now, it is one thing. Our defence minister predicting that Russia will declare WWIII on Monday is quite another. Anyone worried yet?
I thought the prediction was of Russia declaring war on Ukraine. As for being worried, not really, although after moving about quite a bit, it was a bad move to be living about 10 miles from Catterick.

As far as I see it this whole potential world war is being caused by one man. Of course this is an horrifically real war already for the people of Ukraine.

Surely the sensible thing to do is to mollify him and let nature take its course whilst ensuring that none of his potential successors are minded to carry on his legacy.

All this should be done in the background, not via the media. I would have thought the worst thing to do now is to get into a game of brinkmanship with a terminally ill psycho?

Unless there is some serious intelligence that he will not be allowed to press the button or that the chances of the strikes being effective if the button is pressed is massively unlikely?
