Wouldn’t it be be a great gesture if Boro put a ticket offer on for Warnocks first home game?

The average salary in London is some £6000 per annum higher than Middlesbrough. It is generally acknowledged and accepted you pay more in London for most forms of entertainment so I fail to see the reason for comparing us to what Fulham charge.

But not a Championship footballers wage, they demand the same regardless of where they live.

Yet it's still more than any of the club apologists have provided.

I didn't realise we were operating as if we were in a court of law where you couldn't report on what someone had told you directly.

I guess that invalidates virtually every post on here then - best get Rob to remove them then.
I've spoken to someone at the who said everything is great and Gibbo is doing his best and open to new ideas.

The fact he's appointed a sporting director proves this.

Let's take your "heard from the man in the pub evidence" (which as pointed above is pure hearsay) and assume you're right. Did he also tell you what Gibson's reasons were for choosing not to spend money on new machines ? Perhaps Gibson had done the analysis and decided that the cost far outweighed the benefit, that they'd take years to reap any marginal benefit of additional spending on pies and beer ?

I'm not a club apologist, I just find it laughable that people are so happy to believe that the club is run like a kids lemonade stand because someone has either heard from a bloke who knows a bloke, or has done some back of the napkin maths, and decided the club are missing millions of pounds of revenue.

Haha heard from the man in the pub - I was a member of the club's committee to try to engage with the fans on what they wanted in the concourse etc. I spoke to the guy concerned as he was running the meetings after the very first one which was run by Shauna Robb since she was then promoted. Rob can confirm this if necessary.

Did Gibson also do the analysis when he appointed muppets to manage the team?

So the club's next question is how do we make it work for them?

Do we need to improve the ST deal to make it more suitable? Getting back to ST sellouts is what the club really wants.

I understand that some fans do just want to come to a few games per season, but surely the luxury of picking and choosing should carry some premium?
It's always carried a premium, and so it should, but the gap has grown and grown so that those who can't afford a season ticket or its just not practical are only there to subsidise season ticket prices.
Years ago a season ticket saved you about 5-10% now it can be up to 60% .

You still heard his side of the story, did he take you through the comprehensive business case he presented to Gibson showing the benefits of investment and the ROI (I'm guessing the answer is no).

I too have heard that he runs the non-footballing side of the business in a very lean fashion, but it doesn't mean that it's incorrect - it's a decision he's taken, because he's empowered to take it, and has access to all the facts and figures as well as experience of running large organisations. My point remains, only those who know the inside workings of the club can make a call on whether something is right or wrong, and no throwaway comments or back of a napkin maths will convince me otherwise.

Show me a chairman / CEO who has never got an appointment wrong. Just because Gibson appointed someone you don't like, who was a very successful footballer, doesn't mean every decision he makes is wrong.

I give up, you're not going to believe anything I'm saying so I give up, enjoy your unquestioning support of the club.

There's more evidence supplied by me on this thread than by any of the club apologists - I have directly spoken to the gentleman responsible for all of the food and drink at the stadium - he was categorical that getting any money from Gibbo to spend on improvements was almost impossible and took years. They literally had no clue how much of anything they sold at any game which led to wastage and running out of things.

There are several people who have reported on here being told the same thing by the Ticket Office Manager who left - are they all making it up?

Since none of the club apologists have the facts then your argument is ridiculous since we'd have no discussion on here in that instance.

Woodgate is clearly intellectually challenged, you only have to listen to him speak to see that, his nickname being referenced doesn't invalidate everything I say and that's again a ridiculous assertion.

I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I have pointed you to the short tenure of the expert we appointed and his reasons for leaving.
I think you should edit this post.

Without me going through 9 pages, does anyone know how many season ticket's we've sold this year, and how many tickets we've sold for Saturday/ what kind of crowd are we expecting?

We are awaiting the all clear for last Fans Forum Meeting Minutes - there will points of interest on there.
Jonathan Woodgate and his family live in the area - I don't know why people have to leap from talking about first game ticket offers to insulting someone like that. It is at best a tenuous link - and maybe you should only judge after you have met someone and someone that achieved substantially more in his footballing career than any of us. It is totally unnecessary and I think neither does you or your argument any credit.
