Would you stick with the same wing back formation for Chelsea

It worked pretty well in nullifying most of the Villa threat, from open play at least - we still looked dodgy on corners. Did it offer enough in offensive aspect though 🤔

Do you mean attacking? ;) I don't think it did until we brought the pace of Latte Lath on. Josh is great at holding the ball up but the pace of Latte Lath frightens defenders. Although I have always championed Coburn leading the line, I feel Latte Lath will start against Chelsea.

I also thought Bangura was caught in two minds on what to do when he went past his man.

Bangura did really well for me. Good balance up the left, not so strong down the right.

I have no idea whether we should stick with it, its Carrick's job to figure that out and look at Chelsea's tactics, but we certainly looked pretty solid mostly

I think I’d be sticking with this formation for now. Chelsea may not be ripping the premier league up but they still have some very good players at their disposal. Their squad cost a mind boggling £978m to assemble 😵‍💫

Right now the biggest positive of that approach for me is that it solves the right back problem and allows both Rav and Jones to play in what I think are their best positions.

I'm not saying he had a bad game but that time he got caught in two minds and then went down was a big moment for us and when you know chances are going to be at a minimum, you need to take them. Someone last week pointed out he goes down very easily and it was evident again yesterday.

Definitely stick with the same formation. Our game plan has to be to keep it tight. If it’s an open game we’ll get battered.

Crooks and Latte to come in for Greenwood and Rogers. Give us more pace and some aerial threat.

Crooks would be an upgrade on Greenwood at the moment, who’s looked out of form for a while now - the big tree is always likely to pop up with a goal or make one too so get him in there if he’s fit
