Worst display since Ayresome?

My post was off-the-cuff disappointment but given factors such as League played in and opposition what was ever worse?
Boro 0 Burton 1 under Pulis in the rain was bad (league cup)

Going from my hazy memory, the last game I can remember that was this bad would have been one of Wilders final matches for us, after he'd lost the dressing room and before he got the sack. Shockingly bad all around.

Edit: no intent to draw any parallels between Carrick and the Wilder situation there. Just calling it at face value as I see it.

The worst home performance of the season, and one of the worst performances I've ever seen at the Riverside. Let's not forget we were playing a team who'd only won one away game all season previous.

I actually agree with us playing it out from the back, but in games where it clearly isn't working, surely you have to mix it up a bit and try something different. It felt similir to the Chelsea game, only fortunately for us, Plymouth don't have the same quality and weren't able to put us to the sword, because frankly if they'd gone in 0-4 up at half-time the scoreline wouldn't have flattered them.

Plymouth were first to every ball and the amount of times we gave the ball away with sloppy passes was staggering.

We have had other bad first halves this season, but in those we rallied after half time and made a fist of it. I thought that we were unlucky to lose to Bristol last time.
Today there was just nothing.
When was the last home game that we didn’t have a single shot on target?
Definitely the worst 90 minutes this season.

It was definitely the worst performance of the season, home or away.

We were horrific from the first minute until the last, and at no point did we look like scoring.

Not even managing a shot on target at home against one of the worst travelling sides in the division.

Fair play to Plymouth, they should have won by more, their finishing let them down when a totally absent defence and Butterfingers gifted them chance after chance.
I'm quite glad they look like staying up.

Boro 0 - 3 Swansea ........ Woodgate's suicide note in 2020 will take some beating. At least we couldn't be at the ground for that one.
