Each to their own ,not a dig but how many countries are actually in the world series
I saw this was going on, mainly on tiktok with Yanks glaoting that they have beaten us in a tournament that 99% of the country was unaware was happening. Whch amsued me somewhat. What a game to end the tournament which is the baseball equivalent of the World Cup.
With Japan narrowly beating the USA in a thrilling 9th inning finish.

Who was on team US? if it was MLB stars surely it's not great losing to Japan? Imagine being second in a sport that only you take seriously?
Lots of countries take baseball seriously - it's the national sport of Japan for example.I saw this was going on, mainly on tiktok with Yanks glaoting that they have beaten us in a tournament that 99% of the country was unaware was happening. Whch amsued me somewhat.

It's very much a minority sport in the world. and has a world series that consists of teams fro only 2 countries.Lots of countries take baseball seriously - it's the national sport of Japan for example.
The MLB is stuffed with players from Asia, Caribbean, South and Central America, Canada as well as the US. It's a really cosmopolitan league. I guess it'll rancor with the US players that they didn't win it though, and I'd expect that they'll be strong next time. I'm not sure the American public takes it seriously though, it's next week that the baseball season starts for real.
