Words or phrases people say

What are the words or phrases people say or write that tell you about them, even if you didnt know them already?

"Snowflake" was always a good one for me, usually spoken by people trying to devalue someone else being annoyed or upset by something the snowflake user has said/done.

"its PC gone mad" was always a quick fire way to tell me someone was upset that they can no longer get away with being racist or misogynist anymore. The only time it was acceptable was when that copper went berserk when he found out his wife was cheating on him.

The new one I like is people using the word "woke" in a derogatory way when challenged by people questioning outdated opinions or norms.

People who ask you to "trust them" are usually not worthy of your trust.

everyone has free speech, but that doesn't mean they are free from the consequences of what they say.

SJW (Social Justice Warrior) - because someone who fights for social justice is a bad thing to be? 🤷‍♂️

Like a lot of these things it get parroted by those who think it makes them sound clever.

Give yourself a rainbow badge for such a sanctimonious opening post

“Snowflake” and “give your head a shake” instantly signal that some is a ..............

Just listened to BBC radio2 program on about words people couldn't pronounce correctly, no matter how many letters

The woman presented the show was so intelligent, I really admire people of her ilk, talk about anything, saying words with 20 plus letter with very diffult words to say & she just rattled em off, words that I've never even heard of, it was a pleasure just listening to her

People were then phoning & telling words then couldn't prounce

"If I`m being honest" - your not going to be though are you

"I`ll have to get back to you on that" - In other words you don`t know

Using "Listen" at the start what your about to say
