Woodgate not sacked - rumours

I still can’t believe we gave Agnew the job in the prem ( another novice no mark) but he did.

The supposedly greatest league in the world that every manager in the world wants to manage in and we gave the job to the man who used put the cones out for Steve Bruce ( a job he has since gone back too as no one else is daft enough to appoint him as manager).

So if woody was to go then all bets are off.
Those words “we’re going with Steve Agnew” will haunt me forever, but I’d still rather have him as our manager than Woodgate!

They’ve Just been playing his Interview on bbc tees he’s still here as no mentions of him leaving

I want him gone as I don’t think he’s the right man to take us forward or to do the job to keep us up, but if he stays I will be supporting him as Im a boro fan and not booing on a match day. I think we need a huge fan re-think in the summer, i would take a point too but can see us getting smashed.

let’s hope we can pull a mad run off like we did at Christmas, that came from no where I suppose. I would be a lot more confident with someone who has experience in these situations to come in and do a job until season but as Mogga says, it is what it is. UTB

We all want woody to do well, but I’m disappointed he’s abandoned the young wing back combo so quickly. As with them were attacking and created chances.

Once the fans have deserted the manager the writing is usually on the wall. It will take something monumental for JW to turn this around

January transfer window was the worst think that could of happened to us, broke up a wining team need to get back to what worked over Christmas

This time, there is no-one on the staff who'll be installed should Woodgate be relieved of his duties.
Given the guff about Woodgate being the best candidate last time around, I'm dreading hearing how the next managerial decision will be spun.
Dood - never looked at it like that. Proper depressing!

I think there's a huge lack of confidence amongst the squad and Woodgate clearly can't motivate them to get past it.
Ever since the last minute Derby equaliser we've been spiralling.

I did not want Woodgate from the off. All that has unfolded was entirely predictable unfortunately. However, once in the job people were behind him, including me.

This false positive spin fooled some though, the spin is clearly MFC (Gibson) hype. All this positive American psychobabble talk does my head in it is pure guff to give the masses what they want to hear. The reality is what you see. I trust my eyes more than my ears..
...Britt is my number 9, he will score goals
...Britt will take the next penalty and I’ll guarantee he will score it
...Moukoudi is a Premier League player in waiting
...My team will press teams high up the pitch
...The spirit in the dressing room is second to none
...They are a great bunch of lads who give me everything
...I can’t fault their effort

I do not blame Woodgate for saying it, I believe he is giving his best, doing exactly the job he has been employed to do by his boss. Saying all the words his paymaster wants him to say. It is not his fault totally we are where we are. I believe Woodgate will be hurting, I believe he thought he would succeed. He is though just a puppet, like we all are for the companies we work or worked for. The buck rests absolutely with Gibson.

Who appointed rookie southgate and sold quality players and replaced them with poundland replacements?
Who appointed Strachan and went down the cheaper Scottish SPL route
Who threw a club legend under a bus even though he failed to support him financially
Who threw the best coach we have had since 2006 under the bus after failing to support him in January 2017
Who replaced him with yes man Agnew, the cheap option
Who appointed smuggie Monk, spent nigh on £50M (net spend around £6M) and sacked him after a win after 5 months
Who appointed the most defensively minded coach in football in Pulis after spending £50M on so called attacking players
Who told the fans we needed flair and pace in the team and proceeded to reduce the amount of flair and pace in the squad
Who sold the best CF at the club and kept Britt
Who only appoints yes men to do his bidding and spins more than a politician
Who tried to control the local press and the MFC news stories

Change is needed, it needs to start with Mr Gibsons approach and decision making and input. The last 14 years tells me he can’t do it himself. The only period of success was when he had help and input from Kenyon and put his trust in him and his manager Karanka which he appeared to withdraw in January 2017. Yes he saved the club with others and his vision was superb in his early days, but since 2006 his approach has changed markedly for the worse it seems to me. Woodgate will be just another scapegoat on his managerial list soon enough, but I doubt it will be right now
