Wonder if much of the football gets called off over the weekend

Belper Vs Marske game could be a doubt. Massive disappointment if it is as we've already got lots of games to catch up on and we got a great win against Morpeth on Tuesday night.

No chance that will be on. Belper is high up and the Peaks have taken it hard.

Why doesnt england consider switching to summer football late feb to the start of november which includes a 2 week break in the summer for holidays . Attendance would be up as your not going to stoke on a wind swept winters night the pitches stand up to wear & tear better as well.

Have you ever tried playing 90 minutes of football in 30+ heat. Or if it was summer just gone 40+ heat?
Yes, and I loved it, played in Saudi Arabia, which was hot so we had water breaks. I also played a few seasons in the league in Norway, their summers are as warm as ours, and it was far better than playing in the winter here, though our pitches have improved since.

Better to play in, better to watch

Locally the football programme will be hammered this weekend, again.

Because we'd have the issue we've just had with a major tournament in the middle of the season every 2 years, as well as other weather related reasons.

Was meant to be at Emley tonight, which is already off and Belper tomorrow which I can't see being on, so will probably switch to Scarborough or if it survives a first trip to Beverley Town in the NECFL.
Belper twitter saying the game is still on as far as they can see. Wonder if they've got pitch covers?
