Wolves looking at Spence - £5 million?

Whhhaatttt? I said yesterday that we should keep hold of him, but I reckon that's probably ten times his current worth. Negotiate a cut of any future transfer fees and sell sell sell.

Would absolutely sell for that.
Judging from how Traore has declined there, I doubt Spence will manage better with far less talent.

Though you'd want a sell on clause on the off chance he excels.

I'm not sure Traore has declined really. I think Wolves have dropped off since Jota was sold and not replaced and their star striker fractured his skull. I think Neto and Jonny have had bad injuries as well. And Doherty left. I think that represents a huge part of their team. Traore is passing the ball to inferior players this season.

The thing with Spence is interesting. He gets hammered on here and elsewhere but I'm not sure what people are expecting from a young lad who cost the club nothing to sign and presumably earns a relative pittance. He's already given the club good value for what he's cost, IMO. And, again, he's a wing back who has to get forward.... but when he does get forward there is no striker to pass to. No movement. It has been a problem for not just him but Bolasie, Watmore, Johnson, Kebano... all of the wide players and Tav as well. The lack of quality strikers has really broken us and made us look really poor at times over the past three months.

I think people forget this is his first full season as a senior. He needs coaching and experience. If he does join Wolves I'd wager we'll see at least 23 threads started before, say, Christmas next season asking why Neil Bausor 'only' got £5m for him.

Bang on sell on clause and good luck to him.

Im sure we can invest in players more likely to get us promoted in the short term.

Also, if he is sold to another club for something around the £5m mark then the club deserve huge credit for spotting a young player and developing him to sell on for a very large profit.

I hope we don't sell as he has bags of potentially, but if we do have to sell hoping we ensure we include a decent sell on clause.

As a foot note not sure he as progressed as well with Warnock, the same for Coulson who I really rated last year, thought Woodgate was doing a good job with both of them maybe it would be better for them if they moved on to a different coach, but would be a loss to the Boro.

Exactly this.

Sell on clause and a thank you for your services and move him on. Fisher, Djiksteel and Johnson (assuming he signs back on) can all do his job.

He was dropped by Woodgate for having attitude problems and never got back in the team consistently after that, Woodgate was then sacked.

Not sure he handled him any differently.

Everton / wolves and Rangers.... That's money 👏👍

Make the feckers pay. In the words of bumble at the cricket 'start the car' if its 5mil. Please let us have the intelligence to bang in a 15-20% sell on clause.
