Arsenal are making a commercial decision, where their funding comes from and the wider business of football isn’t to blame, other clubs have not taken the same action, so whilst the money in football seems astronomical it’s not football itself that’s obscene but the commercial decision that Arsenal have made on this matter.

Not a defence of Sky etc but their support of football has to be sustainable and we’re all complicit in one way of another being part of the issue.

The family is though. I wouldn't listen to Talksport just because the little I heard a few years ago, it sounded like radio for Sun readers. Apologies if I'm sounding snobbish!
No, it definitely is that. But it serves a purpose on occasion, as much as I don't want Newscorp to succeed.

I actually don't think the Murdoch family are involved in Sky at all now are they? Sky is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast (?)

Im not really defending sky but it's not like they're telling clubs they have to use the money to pay obscene wages is it?

Maybe clubs and governing bodies need to take a bit more responsibility for what's happening.

And surely, at some point, the individual has to be brought to book here. How much money does a player want?! You can't spend it all and I'm not sure you're going to be giving it all away either. And imagine how much the agent will pocket?

To find that some staff no longer have jobs and you have 35 mill to look forward to. It's morally bankrupt. And I ain't buying this short career guff. These players in the prem earn more in a year than many will in a life time of earning.

To say I'm sickened is an understatement.

Of course sky subscribers are to blame. The take free thing available to everyone, then sell back to them for a high price, only works if people pay for it.
All the modern football is rubbish stuff goes back to sky. So if you've got a sky subscription - quit your yapping.

If you’ve ever watched Boro on Sky, you’re part of the problem.

What "free thing available to everyone"? Broadcasters have always paid to televise football. BBC and ITV didn't charge viewers to watch football so couldn't afford to pay as much for the rights.

Most people think the Prem League us a good product though so Sky, BT and Amazon benefit from a public willingness to pay the subscription.
