The failure of the club to consistently read the room astonishes me.
Average £30 increase across 20k season tickets is £600k additional revenue.
Let’s look at Matt Crooks, figures are assumptive but I would think wouldn’t be too far off the mark.
He moves without replacing him because the domestic incoming window is closed. Let’s say a £1mil fee, if we waited until the summer to let him go, because really it does leave the squad a bit short particularly until, Jones, Lath & Coburn are fully fit. We would probably get half that, he’s 30 with 1 yr left on his contract. So if we let him go now we get £500k extra in transfer fee’s plus we save his wages, reasonable to say he’d be on £10k a week? Roughly 20 weeks until July, a £200k saving on wages. Club will be approx £700k better off by letting him go now, it’s a bit detrimental to the squad, but he’s a good lad it’s a great opportunity for him, and the club is quids in.
How about this a statement from the club.
“Season ticket prices were due to rise by around £30 per seat, but due to the recent additional profit in player sales in the January window, the club is in a position to freeze prices for next season”

It is something a caring club with a great Marketing department would do. It would be a psychological boost to fans on a downer after terrible home form and get the fans back on board. That, or something similar is too sensible for MFC.

I will renew but theres 5 things i am not happy about at all
1. Early early bird deadline with little notice for people to get finance together
2. First time season card prices the premium an absolute joke
3. Prices for under 16s in areas other than red faction far too much
4. Walkup prices just too much.
5. Interest payments on monthly payment options. Years ago it was interest free.

Didnt one club's fans boycott the 1st 10 minutes of a game?

I don't think the concourses would cope with something like that though

I am undecided.

Deal breaker for me is not being forced to go to a digital ticket. I have emailed the club to seek clarification before me I renew.

Last season the club lied to the fans forum and sprung this on us four days before the start of the season.
Per MFC..
If you are an existing Season Ticket holder, currently using a physical card, and have renewed for 2024/25 , this will remain valid for the new season unless you change seat or price type. If you haven’t already, you will also have the chance to change to a digital Season Ticket in due course should you wish.

Yes, I will.

I’m also certain every last penny will be wisely invested. I wonder if the money we made on Roger’s, if the club had said that’s all going to season card holders for free tickets next year, how that would go down

just going of this quick poll over 25% saying they won't renew
20% still undecided .
looks like a massive own goal to me

North Stand since ive paid on my credit card ...

Did the club actually drop the prices when we were relegated in 2009?

As I said before there’s absolutely no justification to have such a punitive date NONE.
They know if they leave it any later it will reach the point where the play offs are mathematically impossible and people may not renew so they try and get people on board while there is still a glimmer of hope. It's a disgrace.

I'm leaving it to the last day hope numbers are low and the club get scared and make a better PR effort for it. The email they sent does not thank us once for supporting the club. It's basically pay up that's quiet a considerable amount £671 quid for my West stand upper seat and you have a month to do it. The deadlines so wrong should be start April so is 2 paydays. Or make a finance option that doesn't have a sky high fee on top.

Whilst I can still afford it, I'll continue to renew. Match day is more than the game itself, its a chance to meet up with old friends that I just wouldn't see every other week or whenever.
Thats not to say I'm ok with what the club have announced today, far from it! However they have you by the gonads emotionally speaking - like the time I donated my last £20 to the Save The Boro Fund in 1986 and didnt have a scrap of food in the house , forcing me to spend far too many evenings at my future in-laws place!
