Wilders Press Conference - Cardiff

I often think it is a better atmosphere with 'the regulars' in.

I would say the last two home games have been a bit flat, primarily as we have huffed and puffed and looked poor.

The players could help by keeping up the initial intensity, and I know this is crazy talk, but scoring a couple of goals early doors.

I'd also add, bring back Dijksteel's lucky cast and stop playing steel river. Both of these things seem to involve bad ju-ju.

I think night games always have a lower gate, but the atmosphere is generally good.

Totally agree that we need to be up and at them from the off to get the fans singing and cheering. An early goal would be a thing of beauty, calm the nerves and spur the lads to improve the goal difference.
Be interesting to see who starts up top for Boro, who will he put his faith in to bag a brace

I will wear my lucky socks to try to counteract the bad Ju-Ju you speak of 😉

The difference in size of gate will have little effect on the atmosphere. The performance will.

The last two games have been flat not because of the extra people in the ground, the regulars could still make their usual noise (not atmosphere by the way, just noise) but the buzz comes from what's happening on the pitch.

To be fair if we removed the atmosphere completely the resultant vacuum could be utilised to suck the ball over the line (possibly)....................

Thought it was interesting. Mentioned that our lack of goals isn't just down to the strikers but ended by really calling out the strikers for not taking enough chances including an 'international' in Sporar. Implied Balogan has done or is doing something Wilder didn't like hence his lack of time on the pitch. I guess hoping to provoke one or two of them to show him what they can do. Also mentioned that it was 'a difficult January' which is different to how was spun at the time when the consensus seemed to be that it was a great success. Interesting as I said and looking forward to his 6 month end of season review he talked about giving to the press.

I'm never much one for stats, how many home games this season have we scored two, in say the first 30 minutes?

How many goals have we scored in the South when kicking that way first half?

Is it just my imagination / feeling that we rarely score in the first half at the south end?
