I was at the game, thought we did ok with the team we put out…certainly a bit unlucky to lose
Agree with this.I was at the game, thought we did ok with the team we put out…certainly a bit unlucky to lose
Probably not wanting to be too harsh on the young lads who wouldn’t have deserved a slating
Tell you what seemed a bit bizarre, every time Fry got the ball, would he hell move forward with it! Seemed to just stop dead every time.I made it two shots on target in 90 minutes - we were toothless up front, poor to pretty average in midfield. Under little or no pressure at the back although Fry looked short of fitness. Wilder probably cost us the late goal having subbed Bola for Bilongo who was baffled by the ball looping over his head for the run which led to the goal. Hackney looked the best of the kids and Boyd Munce is a long way from being first reserve in midfield - oh just a minute - right now he probably IS
Sorry. I've just seen this has already been posted on a different thread.Wilders quote on Hoppe after the game;
"He wanted the number 9 shirt. He ain't getting it but I like that attitude. He ain't getting it because we are bringing in a number 9 and a number 10 and a number 4 and 5 and 11. Those were left open for a reason".
Lot of hot air about Wilder atm.Wilders quote on Hoppe after the game;

Ah but did he say filled with what though - could be a mannequin with Ronaldo’s face on itTimes up for watmore
No midfield tonight.....why ?
Disappointing that amongst all the talk of new strikers, looking like Chubba is the best of them all
Keepers fault for goal......also fumbled a shot in 1st half.......thought we'd replaced Joe Clumsy
CW saying post match that 5 shirt numbers will be filled by 1st Sept.......is that a message to us fans, or to Gibbo, Bauser, Scott
Yeh one part I do agree with is this. It's not like its their new job and not used to it, they have been playing football all their life! If they can't play for 90mins a week or 180mins if there is 2 games then there is something seriously wrong with today's training.Seems like he thinks players playing for more than 60 minutes is a major achievement.
Thats just a given for a pro footballer.
3 games into the season plus pre-season and not even fit ?
A lot better than what we've got? Is that actually a massive challenge? All of those numbers he mentioned are needed but what do Managers always say? We need to IMPROVE on what we have - which is not just filling up blank spaces. Strikers who can convert chances, Midfielders who can provide them. Currently we're struggling for BOTH of those. And Hoppe is a project?Ah but did he say filled with what though - could be a mannequin with Ronaldo’s face on it

we only have 2 genuine quality midfielders at the club 1 is 34 years old and the other loves a booking. We need far more quality in than 1 new midfielderTimes up for watmore
