Wilder has finished as high in the prem as Eddie Howe

I don't know much about the guy to be honest. Though he seems to have had 5 promotions.

Can't argue with that

9th in the prem

and won promotion With a fraction of the cost as well.

And missed out on the europa league by a whisker

Think about that.
b***ks they did.
Sheff Utd's wage bill the season they were promoted was higher than Bournemouth's the season they were.

The entire match day squad cost less than Britt when Sheff UTD beat us 1-0 at bramell Lane in the promotion season (I remember sky saying it)

I'd say he did 'alright'. Also scored more than 'Bielsa ball' Leeds. So hardly the hoof ball merchant some say. I mean 18 months ago he was linked with top 10 prem clubs. I'm not sure how he's not good enough for us.

I'm not doubting you but have you got anything to back that up? Wasn't it the vast majority of their League 1 squad?

I'd agree. I imagine they had a small wage bill as most came from league 1 and Mcgoldrick was a free.

I'm not sure they bought anyone over 1mil (ish)?

Howe kept Bournemouth in the league for more than 2 seasons though which would be the counter argument. I think he left Bournemouth with a better squad than Wilder did at Sheff United as well.

When Sheff United went up they had one of the lowest wage bills in the Championship so your point that they had a higher wage bill than Bournemouth when they went up is a nebulous one at best.

Also note how they performed on a wage bill much less than half ours.

Bournemouth's wage bill was £30.4m
Sheff Utd's was £40.7m

Not sure why so many on here are so defensive if Bournemouth they were found guilty of breaking FFP by the league themselves, such was there exuberant spending levels.

All bank rolled by a shady reclusive Russian oligarch.

the Cherries posted a £38.3m loss in 2014/15 as they won the Sky Bet Championship.

The was an increase from a loss of £10.3m the previous season, predominantly due to player and staff wages, which rose to £30.4m, a figure more than double the club's turnover of £12.9m.
