Why does it take us an eternity to complete a deal?

That is actually a very good question
Football seems archaic in terms of contracts being agreed and signed...
In a world where millions transfers at rhe click of a button why does it take sooooooo long....
 
Not sure why fans get so frustrated with this. I'm sure making a signing in this day and age is a complex process, regardless of time to the first kick off.

It is as if some fans have nothing else to do besides refresh their feeds for a new player holding a Boro shirt.
 
We are stuck in a player chain, Prem clubs won't release players until they sign someone and they can't buy because they are waiting on another club signing a player.
 
I'm sorry but in this scenario it's hardly 'rocket science'. We are after 2 prem forwards (Armstrong / Muniz) who they wont allow to leave until replaced. How can we speed it up? Buy them replacements 😂

On top of that I'm sure both are very complicated due to large wages and loan fees. We could probably go out and get another 'kid' like Balogun. These two are big investments (flops) for both these clubs and I'm sure they want maximum back.

I'm sure had we been in for a league 1 forward or some free agent they would have been in weeks ago. We appear to be after genuine quality. That's worth waiting for. We don't need them for Saturday. We've enough to compete.

I'd rather wait on these two than bring in some z lister like Mcgoldrick or a Parrott.

Almost definitely. He's probably been training today and already registered for Saturday (although not sure about visa status).

The fact he's not announced doesn't mean he's not signed. Probably trying to locate the bloody drone operator. These reveals are getting more Hollywood by the week😂

We maybe going full on Lingard lol
 
Listen to ‘That Peter Crouch Podcast - Contract’ episodes and you’ll see why. The amount of clauses, negotiations etc you have to go through is insane. It’s not a simple as ‘we’ll pay you x amount a week, sign here.’

Plus we have the added hurdle of being handicapped by the unfashionable area we are.
 
Although, watching that video it’s taking so long because we’re busy filming daft unveiling vids 😂 UTB!
 
We're all saying this and chances are Forss is training with the team and has already done his interview and media photos, club just waiting to announce it for whatever reason, perhaps haggling over the daftest minute details or even dealing with his relocation could be anything but chances are, in real time he's already a contracted Boro player

Because we are watching. When other teams announce players signing we haven't been looking at reports of them "having lunch at The Tontine" or seen at Rockcliffe, we see them presented, job done, took no time at all, why do Boro take so long...
