Who's leaving then?

I don't think Greenwood will have the buy option activated, and can see Silvera going on loan, and Coulson, Dijksteel, Jamie Jones, Tommy Smith and Forss being let go.

McNair
Hackney
McGree
Dijksteel
Glover
Hoppe
Coulson
J Jones

Greenwood
O’Brien (possible re-sign)
Thomas
Ayling (will sign on I think)

Obviously paddy has announced he is leaving.

I expect dijksteel to go.
Greenwood to leave without us looking to sign him.
Obrien will go back to forest.

Other departures potentially Forss based on rumours?
Riley to if a new deal can't be agreed.

I think there will be interest in Dieng, Rav,Hackney and LL we will obviously not want to sell but I think we will if the deal make sense to the club and the player wants the move.

McNair has already left. Jamie Jones and Liam Roberts will be released.
Dijksteel will be sold (£1m?). Hoppe will be sold (500k?). Coulson will be sold (300k?).

Tom Glover could potentially be sold (500k?) with Zach Hemming taking his place as #2. I think Sol Brynn will go out on one final loan to a top L1 club.

I also think McGree could be on his way out (£3m?) - I like him as a player but with his re-occurring injury I don't think he's worth it if he's only able to play half a season.

I expect us to make one big sale too.... Possibly the Hackney to WHU £18m rumour - but it'll probably be closer to £14m.

O'Brien will be too expensive to sign. Thomas might also be too expensive if we don't already have a Greenwood-type option to buy.

Ayling will hopefully be brought in which sorts our defence out - two players for each position.

If Greenwood really is £1.5m and his wages match the average of the team - At 21 years old, he's definitely got potential to improve - so I'd bring him in too.

Does Barlaser bring much to the team? Had a decent spell in the middle of the season but it just doesn't seem to be working for us.

Barlasar is a strange one in my opinion - is he good enough to be in our starting 11? - probably not.

But we're building a squad, not just a team. He's experienced, he was relatively cheap at £1m, he's on low wages, and even though he hasn't done anything special, he's been pretty solid off the bench.

With Howson now closer to 40 than he is 30 - Barlasar is the type of player we need on the bench in my opinion.

Agreed. When he does the simple well he's good to watch.

When he tries his hollywood/quarterback balls that drift out for a goal kick it's pretty frustrating.

I agree, but you could argue he's been told to play those balls... or Carrick would put a stop to him doing it.

Maybe on average we only need 1 or 2 of those hollywood balls to come off for every 10 that fail miserably... he might have just been unlucky that those 1 or 2 haven't happened.

I would keep Smith 100% even if we do sign Ayling. Smith is a good defender and seems a great character around the team not sure if he would be first choice if we signed Ayling but would be a great back up
He’s over 30 and just had a year out

I didn’t particularly rate him before he got injured and I don’t think he is what we need moving forward

He’s not going to be fit until after the summer so no one is going to buy him. I’m glad.

He was great last year and we massively missed his leadership until Ayling came in this season. We also missed his gamesmanship and game management. He was always very useful when holding a lead.
