Who would you replace Warnock with?

End of this season he will leave.
Even if we get promoted 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This season is still about cutting costs.
Then a new manager will come in next season.
With money saved over the previous two seasons.
The new guy will have some cash for a proper go.

You may well be right but it will be a wasted season.

Chris Wilder, Hughton or Eddie Howe would all be sensible appointments.

Realistically though, unless we have a really bad turn of form, Warnock will be here for the duration of the season.

With Gibsons Conservative views Cooper could be a good shout. I wonder if DWP would release him if approached.

A little surprised by the calls for Lampard? I could be wrong but not sure Derby really progressed under him? I think he underperformed with the players he had available at Chelsea as well.

Of those available now I'd probably go Cooper. Wilder is a good manager but with very specific recruitment requirements, don't think he'd do too well with a squad he hasn't moulded.

Paulo Sousa an outside candidate for the forest job, I'd definitely take him.

He did worse than the previous manager at Derby, with better players.

I'd still probably have him though.

Anyone who plays it on the ground a reasonable percent of the time, doesn't rate a goal keeper solely on his ability to kick the ball 75 yards to the right touchline, anyone who can coach a defence to put in a broadly organised performance, anyone who limits his enraged outbursts to serious foul play or the occasional reffing injustice.

Oh and ideally young and hungry with a point to prove, maybe with a broad knowledge of lower league players in Scandinavia or Holland/Belgium etc. to bring a few cheap gems with him (or her).

I thought Lampard did well with Chelsea in his first season considering they'd lost their star player and had a transfer embargo. He brought the likes of Mount, James, Abraham in to the first team who played very well under under him.
Granted his second season didn't go too well, but I suspect it's more down to transfer meddling from the club management buying players he didn't ask for and not the ones he did.
Would certainly take him here if that was an option.

If we could get Frank Lampard, we really should.
Intelligent, articulate, respected, charismatic, unbelievably well connected.
Can deal with the big names, the egos, the kids, the media.
Did well at Derby - and got loanees Wilson and Mount.
Did well at Chelsea. Even Tuchel repeats how unlucky Lampard was and how well he did.

I would absolutely love Lampard to be our manager.

Firstly - Gibson won’t move on Warnock. Only way he leaves is if he chooses to or we are in dogs trouble come Feb/ March. For me still a great job for the right bloke which I believe the likes of Wilder and Howe are. We know we need a new boss next season as Warnock won’t go on past this season so why wait?

Didn't he recently turn down Crystal Palace? not much chance of getting Christine up to Yarm I am afraid, Eddie Howe for me.
