The disappointment overshadowed the 'signing' part of it!

Why did Wood disappoint? He was one of the better players in a poor squad. Didn't the fact we sold him to Chelsea result in Big Mal leaving?
Or maybe it was his performance at Chelsea that disappointed you?

Never liked mikkel beck.
Half hearted bit like assombalonga pretended to want it.

I wasn’t a fan at the time, but my god. When you go back and watch. We haven’t had anyone like him for years, since we’ve been floundering. Far better player than I realised at the time.
