Who is the most famous person you have bumped into?

I was on the same platform as Britt Assombalonga in Darlo station a few years back. And some time before that I walked past Terence Stamp in London. I also live near where Jonathan Hogg used to live. I walked past and his gates were open, got a chance to speak to him as he was stood at the gate. He seemed a bit stand off ish, probably because he doesn't get recognised much around here.

A more interesting one would have to be on the same trip in London (I think), did some sightseeing and went to Buckingham Palace. As we were coming away a bunch of police officers ordered the public to stay on the pavement. Next thing you know a bunch of cars are driving past and her majesty Queen Elizabeth was in one of them. Didn't really bump into her as such but it was a surprise.

I yi
Not literally, but randomly.

For me it was Anthony Hopkins at Newark Airport in New York. Strangely enough he was wearing one of them hats that Hannibal Lector wore in Silence of the Lambs.

Chiantiandfaverbeansinthebigappletastic 👍👍👍

Are you sure it was actually Antony Hopkins and not Hannibal Lecter himself?

Melvyn Hayes from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum’ - came into a charity shop I was working in.

Jimmy White - didn’t bump into him as such but did play him in a frame of snooker when he did an exhibition years ago. I won 😊

Recently, Grayson Perry at a wedding. Had no idea he was going to be there. Sat at the same table as him and had a nice chat about Motorcycles. Very nice guy.

Years ago, had a chat with Michael Lee (from Darlo) who was drumming for page and plant. I had no idea who he was until half way through the chat - again, a very nice lad.

Jennifer Lopez in the Gucci Shop in Caesar's Palace, literally brushed shoulders with her. She's an absolute Goddess

My brushes with celebrity, excluding Boro players can be summed up thus:-

Mick Jones browsing an estate agents window in Marylebone.

Noel Gallagher coming out of Stone Island, Soho as I was going in.

Ken Livingston outside Selfridges food hall, and I was inches away from literally bumping into him as he wasn't looking where he was going.

I was in NYC for Thanksgiving in November and staying in the same hotel, and in the bar at the same time as us and each other, was Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad and Justin Theroux and his dog (actor, filmmaker, Lois' cousin and previous husband of Jenifer Anniston, Justin that is, not his dog) ) I recognised neither of them but my friend did.

Louis Theroux trying on jeans in the next dressing room to me, Ted Baker on Regent Street about 15 years ago

Kevin Phillips in Selfridges the day after he'd scored against us for Southampton and ran past waving his nose at us

Ryan Giggs buying towels in Kendals Manchester back when he was a young kid just breaking through.

Jonathan Ross sat in Prezzo in Hitchin with his mam (who is now dead) who used to live in Hitchin

Chas Hodges in Waterstones, Hitchin

Christopher Biggins, Hitchin train station after switching on our Christmas lights

Rick Stein getting off a BA flight to San Francisco as I was waiting to pick my mother in law up, who was visiting

Mark Radcliffe and Mark Riley in the Lass 'O Gowrie Manchester, although not sure if this counts as they invited their audience there after their last graveyard shift show and so I "didn't bump into them"

Noel Fielding's brother Michael (Naboo in The Might Boosh) at both Standon calling festival and in the reception of the hotel attached to Bolton's stadium

All footballers or ex footballers in Schipol airport lounge. Gareth Southgate, Peter Schmeichel, Marcel Desailly. The latter stood next to me at the coffee machine and just seemed absolutely massive despite me being about the same height.

I saw Stuart Pearce at a M40 services recently. He was stood in the food area trying to decide between BK/KFC and Subway. I didn't stay to see his decision 😂

My mate and I had a pint with Robin Del Naja in a pub in Edinburgh on New Year's Day a few years back. We were the only 3 people in there.

He was one of the founding members of Massive Attack, but is also widely rumoured to be Banksy. He didn't let slip either way.

Was he wearing paint covered overalls?
