Who’d win in a fight

The easy answer is go to b&q buy some gorrilla tape, creep up behind it and tape it on its back then its arms by running round in a circle a few times, the clue is in the name guys, gorilla and human injury is minimised. Once the gorilla is caged, sedate it and remove the tape with care.

So the question is, how many men would it take? 100? 1000?
I asked AI

Theoretical Estimate:

  • Low Estimate (5–10 men): Possible if perfectly coordinated, targeting limbs to pin the gorilla. However, the gorilla could quickly injure or kill several attackers, reducing the group’s effectiveness.
  • Realistic Estimate (10–20 men): Accounts for casualties and the need to overwhelm the gorilla through sheer numbers. Even then, success is uncertain due to the gorilla’s strength, speed, and lethal capabilities.

Conclusion:

In a hypothetical, unarmed confrontation, it might require 10–20 average men to subdue a silverback gorilla, assuming ideal coordination and willingness to sustain severe injuries. However, this scenario is unrealistic and strongly discouraged, as gorillas are endangered wild animals, and human-gorilla conflict is ethically indefensible.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

So there you have it. AI says that a gorilla would beat 30 men, but when asked how many men it would take the answer is 10-20!

“Strongly discouraged” 🤣

AI has also been known to say that you should add glue to the sauce when making pizza to lessen the likelihood of it sliding off the base and that dogs have played professional basketball in the NBA.

Call me cautious but I'm going to give it some further thought before attacking a gorilla on the basis of its advice.

A gorilla or 30 average men (unarmed)

I can’t shake the thought for some odd reason
If Bruce Grobbelaar was involved it'd be the men. I once heard he was a former gorilla fighter, and (mistakenly) assumed he'd previously worked in a circus.

We seriously underestimate the strength of animals. I saw a video of a guy who put his arm into a tigers cage and the tiger tore it off at the shoulder. It did not appear to be trying particularly hard.

Gorilla every time.

Regardless of who wins, I have reservations about being one of the 30 men as it's definitely going to end badly for a lot of them. You'd need someone like Gazza to be the first to have a go.

Unless the Boro defence was in the 30 and bored the gorilla to death.
I think Gazza's more likely to turn up with a 6 pack and ask if it if fancies going fishing instead.

And you know what, maybe the world would be a better place if that was everyone's approach to conflict

(although not sure it's the right approach for dealing with murderers on the run from the law)

Wouldn't take thirty blokes just one with a phone. Show the gorilla a replay of the Norwich home game and wait for it to kill itself.
