Whitby Town qualify for FA Cup First Round

Along with Scarborough Athletic and York City. Big night for footballing hotbed North Yorkshire.

Went to the game last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and a great atmosphere from a crowd of over 900. Class pitch invasion when they got the 3rd in injury time.

I bet that when they go down to Bristol that there will be a pub or restaurant that has Whitby scampi on the menu 😅

Luke Daniels is the Forest Green Rovers keeper - used to play for Middlesbrough didnt he ?
Hes coming to the Flamingo land stadium along with Troy Deeney and chums.

I went to the match last time Whitby played in the first round of the FA Cup. They drew Hartlepool away.
I sat an in the away end with the Whitby fans.

Got spanked 4-0 like but was good day out

Don’t forget the big boys at Harrogate Town too. Wonder if by the third round there will be a North Yorkshire derby for us?
Oops - I'd forgotten about that West Riding lot! :)

A North Yorkshire derby would be great, huge demand on tickets no doubt.

I went to Halifax in 1983 and saw Northern League Whitby Town beat a League team on their own ground in the first round. I think Whitby were 2-0 down in the game too.

We are at Plymouth on November 4th.
