Which school is this????

It’s definitely the badge and the tie, a bit before my time but I’ll ask around see if anybody knows the pop stars!
I was wondering what the window was looking out onto?

The view out of the window shows fields and hills and I can't make out which direction they would be in. Church Lane was well established in 1975 and it would show houses and the old age pensioners flats not fields, the direction towards Fabian Road would be similar with houses leading up to Eston, it is too close for it to be Normanby Rd and there would be industry in the background if the window was looking out towards Grangetown/South Bank.

It's definitely Church Lane on the left... from that window there would be nothing behind them apart from the playing fields until the back of the houses on Fabian Road. The other side of the road would be the pensioners bungalows with the cut than ran through to Tawney Close.

Yes it’s definitely stapylton, I was just chatting to someone about the video, just waiting for some names.

My initial thought was it was the back of the houses on Fabian Rd, but there is a line of trees further behind the houses - this could be Eston Cemetery . Around that time the houses on Covent Close would have been built or getting built and the Parkway would have been well under way. I would say you are right but it just doesn't seem populated enough.

Fatcat - I am not saying it isn't the Stayplton school and had a light bulb moment when you mentioned the name. I just can't make out the view in the background.

Must be the cemetery, there were plenty of trees all the way from Church Lane to Normanby Road and it was higher ground... I didn't go to the Stapylton so no idea what the view looked like from the upper floors.
