Where was the butlins in Filey?

The Station became known as Filey Holiday Camp in 1947.
Prior to that, the short line was used to convey ordnance to what was then a Military training camp.

I don’t think Primrose Valley is on it, no. It was a bit to the south. I was there in 1964, can still remember it.

Edit: it appears, according to Wiki, that’s Primrose Valley IS on the site of Butlins, my apologies, Mr. Holgate.I thought Primrose Valley predated Butlins’ demolition.

It's where 'The Bay' resort is now just a bit further South down the road from Primrose. You can have a drive round. It's a a mix of Hoseasons, private rental
and private properties. Very nice spot it has a pub and indoor pool, gym, outdoor tennis courts and archery on site. With access down to the beach....

there was a wire fence separating primrose valley and butlins.when we stayed at primrose valley we used to sneak in through a hole the fence

Does anyone know whereabouts it was? Would like to have a look tomorrow
If you look back, a month or so ago on here there was a good thread on Butlins. Can't remember the name but I had some good reminiscing over it as went on holiday pretty much every year in late 70s early 80s

Spent a good few holidays there in the 70s, remember the cinema there with two big knights on horseback . Saw bedknobs and broomsticks there
