Aparantky he only found out the night before the match!Such a baffling decision from Brighton, unless they were planning on recalling him in the next 21 days, the next cup match isn't until after the window shuts.
So did I but thinking about it he has been playing for another English club so it cant have been some Brexit red tape reason?I thought it was because his Irish registration papers hadn't been ratified?
The Brighton refusal seems odd
So can they recall him at any time then?
Thought players could only be recalled in the January window??
It will be now given the next tie is in Feb.They can only play for another club if they're recalled during the transfer window, so it's very strange.
I'd lean towards there just being a mix up in registering him rather than Brighton caring how about him being cup tied.
It's irrelevant to them.
From a Gazette article on Boyd-Munce from saturday.
And while first signing Aaron Connolly was unable to make his debut as the club didn't manage to get back his international clearance in time, Boyd-Munce did go straight into the side and made an immediate impact as the young midfielder doubled Boro's lead in a 3-2 win over Mansfield Town in the FA Cup third round.
As I also said earlier a few posts up - he wouldn'tWhy would he need international clearance?
He was a domestic transfer who was already registered in England as he was at Brighton.
"In accordance with FIFA Regulations, international clearance is required for any player over the age of 10 who is seeking to register for a club in England and has previously been registered for a club abroad (including the other Home Associations), or who is a foreign national seeking to register for the first time in this country."
