The "world" have been trying to sort this mess out for decades. We could send in our army to get shot at and blown up again I suppose. The west tried to setup a strong local government but they lasted less than a week when the west left. I dont know what the answer is.

Yeah, the Saudi's by far and away are the biggest contributor to terrorism that comes from the Middle East, be it through money or ideology. It is one of the biggest shames of Western Politics that countries like ours curtail to them and sell them vast amounts of arms all because of their oil$. They should have at the bare minimum the types of financial restrictions we have placed on Iran.
 
This part of the world has just spent 20 yrs trying to do something, teaching them how to defend themselves as well as other things like losing the lives of young servicemen/women to no avail.
When the crunch came the Taliban didn't even have to fight, they just walked in and took over.
It's like they prefer living in the 3rd Century.

Maybe 99.99% of people are just weary after years of war, funded by ideologies from thousands of miles away?

Contrary to what the Daily Mail and other right wing **** rags would have you believe, there aren’t millions of people aiming to take advantage of our welfare system. All people want to do is live in peace, is it possible people are so weary they’ll accept the current situation?

Many have suggested, an agreed approach with the US where the Taliban would takeover with little resistance whilst promising to crackdown on opium production and not to support international terrorism?

Who knows, only certainties are the innocent suffer, the rich get richer and the game carries on.

Not for something like sex outside marriage. I mean, if you want to be a troll then there are lots of funny things that you can wind people up about, but the Taliban's attrocities maybe not the best choice.
 
As mentioned by Jack and Zorro. The Saudis are the worst by far but nothing gets mentioned because Britain and America sell them billions in weapons. The warped ideology of extreme Islam also comes from the Saudis. However, as they own lots of property and buy lots of stuff it will continue to go unsaid.

Started in 1994 as students from strict Islamic schools in the Pashtun region of Afghanistan and with an ideology based on Deobandi fundamentalism with Pashtunwali social and cultural norms.

Saudi's export of Islam is Wahhabism. They without a doubt fund groups like the Taliban, but they didn't start in SA.
