Mine is pretty simple really, I am Gordon Strachan or at least I was when I joined the previous message board!

John Gannon was on loan at Boro. I remember him taking about 6 corners in a row that didn't beat the first man and were headed straight back out for another corner. As we watched him we could see he was wearing boxer shorts as they were sticking out beneath his shorts (only time I'd ever seen it), so really I should change my name to johngannonsboxershorts!

When we first moved to the Cellnet Riverside Stadium, as well as Roary the Lion, there was a mascot called Commander Comcast who, I think, were the parent company of Cellnet.

I've looked for a photo but never found one, if anyone happens to have one to post.

I don't think he lasted more than a few games. Someone once posted on here to say he had wanted the username as he had actually been the bloke inside the mascot outfit.

I was looking to change my name to an obscure footballer with an unusual name and came across an Australian goalkeeper called Norman Conquest. Living in Normanby for the last 50 years and the pub up the road called The Norman Conquest, it just seemed right.

You can count on one hand how many times I've been in the Conquest.

Have you seen this link, this lad was Commander Comcast.

When I was a kid (honestly!) - me and my mates were D&D'ers .. and one of the characters I had was called Thalion Rauko - which was Lord of the Rings Elvish for "Strong Demon" .. over the years, it got shortened to just Rauko .. which is now my default internet name

Around 1995 me and wife tried giving each other most chavvy nickname we could think of, she called me smoggser. 2003 I needed a cyber name and by then smoggser had become smoggs.

Pretty boring really.
Iterration of my name and my birth year. I couldnt be bothered trying to be clever when I made an account.

Take him out for dinner, you could be inside him more often.
