I was driving past there a lot in the early 90s. I was driving down to Haywards Heath very regular from North East London. Before me and the missus co-habited. Got sick of the Blackwall tunnel and the SE bit of the M25.

Redcarjock, as I'm reading your post I've actually reading my Middlesborough complete record & 1975-76 season open, 26th August 1975 Boro 2 Birmingham o, Hickton & Mills the scorers

My grandfather was from Paisley and a St Mirren supporter.

My Grandad used to tell me about the matches in the 1930's, with nearly 60,000 crowds in Love Street

The Almería coast in that area is great. An occasional day trip for us starts around there. We do Las Negras and Cabo de Gata as well. Cutting through Carbonaras on the way back through. Some of the coastal views are great.

We spent a couple of weekends there last September (after the summer rush) and we visited those places. The coastline is spectacular. The best for me is Monsul - pretty quiet, nice sand and really clear water with loads of fish. Also liked El Playazo near Rodalquilar.
