When will the working classes

Theres a huge new class, it stretches from well within what was called working class and is well into the "middle "middle class.
Its the Indebted Class.
Those who would be in serious trouble in weeks if there income stopped tomorrow. Its the largest class in modern Britain.

How do you know which class you belong to?

If you do or did work for a living you're working class IMO.

If you've inherited such wealth that you have never and will never need to work then you're ruling class.

There's no such thing as a middle class. It's a daft trick the ruling class have played to divide the working class.

Otherwise sensible people will have a semi-detatched house or go on two holidays a year or something and convince themselves that puts them in the "middle" of a homeless to royalty spectrum. Absurd.

Have we gone back to Victorian times?

Middle class, working class, upper class. We are all the same oxygen breathing , tax paying humans.

When will the working class....? Pffftttt.

Well the Tories seem pretty keen to take us back to those days Randy. They love foodbanks and think that bringing back the workhouse would be a great thing for this country. And sadly the Labour Party are doing their best to become the new Tory Party. All a bit depressing really.

I know lots of Tories (including my Mam and Dad) and not one of them love foodbanks or would love to bring back the workhouse. Do you really think this?

Yes we have. It’s the one Brexit benefit. The brexitists want us to regress to the time of workhouses and TB

Same question to you. Do you really think everyone who voted for Brexit wants us to regress to workhouses and TB? After whats happened this afternoon. Unbelievable.

Unfortunately Billy BoyStu, the only people I know who would love more foobanks and workhouses are Tories. Do you remember the person in Hartlepool celebrating the fact that there were only two foodbanks in the town under Labour, now there are nine?
Thatcher was intimating putting single mothers into special accomodation, many Tories would like to see people work for their benefits (the only thing missing is the physical building), and in fact actually introduced a scheme where people on unemployment benefit were "encouraged" to work full time for an extra £10 a week. Today, an uemployed person is expected to work, unpaid except for their benefits, to "gain work experience"- irrespective that they may have been in the workplace for 40 years.
You may be able to correct me but I do not know of any other party's manifesto that demonises the less well off.
By the way, whenever a Tory on TV has been asked about the rise in foodbanks s/he praises the volunteers and never the reason for it.

I don't disagree with that, but to say all tories think this, etc is not correct.
I know plenty of mates who have voted Labour all their lives who hold similar views.

Why bringing this afternoon into it? That’s a low blow and wrong.

but yes, the country has regressed badly in the past year and the brexitists are still defending it. So you have to assume they are happy with the regression

We obviously move in different circles but I never said all Tories think that- Just all the Tories I know. I even know of a few Tories who think that anyone can turn up at a foodbank and be given free food.

I'm calling you out for saying that everyone who voted for Brexit wants us to regress to workhouses and TB. That is 100% a lie.

No, just to be clear: everyone who supports Brexit NOW. Now the country has regressed, now we have gone backwards.

it’s not unreasonable to assume, if they are happy to defend this form of Brexit then they are happy with the regression. The natural regression point for the nationalisatic Brexit most surely be the days of empire no? I.e. the days of workhouses and TB. Why else would they be so happy the country has gone backwards in a year. Also you need to apologise for the “what happened this afternoon” non sequitur because that is entirely unconnected with this thread or my comments and to bring it up to try and discredit me is plain nasty

Think that you're arguing with a frequently banned troll mate. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

OK thanks for clearing that up.

austerity whilst not a lie the Tory solution to was. Hundreds of thousands of people put into to real financial difficulty yet the money pig opened with covid to provide more money than the whole of austerity. Covid has proven that we don't need to aggressively address debt immediately and put individuals in serious danger in can be tackled on a slower curve. Austerity was a gift horse for Cameron and his cronies who couldn't resist to increase the wealth divide
