Who do you drop? Or does he not get back in?

I really like Edmundson and Clarke together. If you asked what central defensive partnership Boro fans would prefer, I doubt those two would have cropped up as many peoples first choice.

We need better footballers at centre back than Clarke and Edmundson. You could see that on Wednesday when Blackburn were so deep that the ball was constantly with our CBs about 20 yards from their goal. So VDD comes in straight away at right centre half. I think Edmundson is slightly better than Clarke in this respect so you'd think Clarke drops out but then Clarke is left footed.

If Edmundson gets a yellow in the next 3 matches, he's banned, so that would make the decision easier.
