What's the best gig you've ever been to?

Yes, I've been to a few gigs there as well.
I also remember going to The Engine Room, and of course the guild hall for gigs.
Not been to the Brooke yet but been to those mentioned and a few others there. Some now closed which is a shame.

I can't immediately think of a standout either, but competitors off the top of my head are Pink Floyd performing The Wall at Earl's Court, Tori Amos performing her first album at The Arena, Alex Harvey making the audience sit on the floor at The Coatham Bowl, The Charlatans a couple of years ago at Manchester Apollo.

Parquet Courts at The Church in Leeds, November 2018

Absolutely phenomenal 💥
Probably the best festival performance I've ever seen....Parquet Courts at End of the Road (2019)

The opening 20 or so minutes was as good as any run I've seen from any band. Absolutely smashed their way through it (Bruce Springsteen's last hour from a week ago comes close).

Popping into my head now come Elvis Costello and Ray Davies performing free sets at Hyde Park after Elton John went off ill. Both played great sets that I wouldn't have seen if I'd had to pay.

My favourite ever live band was stereo total though. F***ing love their live shows. Sadly no more as Francoise cactus passed away a couple of years ago. An acquired taste.

The Smiths, Boro town hall, 88
Stone Roses, Boro town hall, 90ish?
Wedding Present, Boro Outlook 88ish
Blur, Hacienda, 91ish

Too many others to pick a favourite!
