proper governance where if someone makes a slanderous statement, they can easily be identified, for maybe a small cost £100 maybe, and can be held accountable.

In the real world if you are abusive to people you get a slap, or everyone just ignores you for being a bellend, on the internet so many people behave like this and it s poisons debate. Make people accountable for their behaviours.

I'd extend this to cover people spreading political lies and misinformation to the point of it being an offence that can lead to being locked up for undermining democracy.
