What was your first dance marriage song

Been there El Guapo and you’ll be amazed how many of us there are .
A good little saying I came over is this

A long marriage is two people trying to dance a duet and two solos at the same time.

You’re not so hard on yourself knowing you gave it a go .

I’ll be gutted to take mine off but I suppose it’s just life. If I couldn’t make her happy then hopefully she’ll find happiness with someone else.

I hope you find your ring mate.

So do I. Mrs Gnome lost hers when we had a walk-in burglary, they took all her jewellery including the wedding ring, engagement ring and eternity ring. She'd taken them off before she went to work (nights, sister in charge of Intensive Care at North Tees) and some druggie decided to walk in to our house when she was in the shower and help himself. We got the bag back, found in a garden in Mendip Road Billingham.

I was married the day before we played Millwall at home two years ago, made sure we left for the honeymoon on the Sunday so I could get the game in! Got in the play offs that day
You dancer 👍 not to black cat you though handsome a very good friend of mine left his reception to actually go to the game at awesome park 😬😬😬👍

First time around it was an Elton John song I think. Things were a bit less organised in those days and the DJ didn't have the song that my missus went up and asked him for so he played something he thought similar. Probably should have checked in advance.
Probably should have done quite a lot of things differently in that marriage.

Second go, there was no dance. We got married at a drive through window in Vegas. Took about five minutes and we were on our way. Stuff to do and no time or inclination for dancing. No regrets at all this time around.

This is a very positive thread, and I hope I don't ruin it, but knowing a few of you have lost their wives in one way or another realises the fragility of relationships, whether by circumstance or otherwise. We hope we can celebrate my parents ' 50th in August, we 've had to postpone our 10th on May 1st, but hey ho

all I know is I'd be fùcking lost without mine so I can't understand how difficult and painful it is for those not with theirs for whatever reason

stay positive folks, life's a journey, not a destination
