What vinyl have you bought recently / dusting off for a play?

If you've got the time, sign up to discogs and catalogue your collection. It'll take time with 500+ but you can see what similar grades are selling for and sell yourself minus their commission
Cheers for that, I've already listed them on a spreadsheet and was going to speak to Sound It Out in Stockton. No rush yet, just planning well ahead.

Yo La Tengo's new one out tomorrow so I'll be grabbing that. The Waeve last week as well (y)

On the CD front I've been loving the Cherry Red compilations recently, just picked up a late 60s LA one and Sheffield post-punk/disco/80s onwards basically.

A musical history by the Band arrived last week too

picked this up for record shop day. Listened to it many, many times on repeat in college doing long national express journeys to London and Manchester.

My other pick up of the day, really enjoying it. Pretty good value as it came with a poster which, realistically, I wouldn't be putting on the wall. I put that on eBay and it got snapped up within 20 minutes for £50.

I waited from 5:30am, I was really after The Midnight - red white & Bruised but they only had one copy and it sold out a few places ahead of me but those guys had been there for ages when I got there so had no chance.

Was cold, throwing down with rain, pretty miserable - some people had got there 9pm, 1am etc, but the first guys started queuing at 12:30 lunch time the day before 👀 that is some dedication.

The first LP I ever bought out of my wages was Big Wheels of Motown in 1978 from the record shop on the outside of the Cleveland Centre I forget it's name now). Some years back I was on ebay and saw it for sale and bought it again (my original had gone walkabout years previous) but had nothing to play it on.

We bought a turntable not long after and have treated myself to the odd piece of vinyl and got the odd LP bought at Christmas. At Christmas, I was bought Springsteen's 'Only the Stong Survive' LP and think his covers are very good - especially his version of the 'Nightshift'.

I also bought myself The Freewheelin LP when I was in France in the summer but haven't played it yet. I also have it on CD and Spotify and listen to that regularly. Disraeli Gears is another I listen to regularly.
