What the hell is going on with clubs finances?!

So many clubs struggling financially and facing punishments.

Thank fu** for Gibbo ey. Even at our worst I never worry.
I thank him for everything he has and continues to do for our club.
What a legend
The clubs finances aren’t in a good state based on the accounts released every year, once Gibson decides to walk away the clubs got big problems

People have been saying that for a long long time. Do you have any evidence of the money beginning to dry up? Wages are rising. Transfer fees are rising. There are lots of wealthy people in the country who can afford a sky subscription.

Not only is the money for the premier league not drying up, it is becoming less dependent on domestic deals and related Sky UK subscriptions:

The report also says that the league’s clubs have been told its overseas broadcast partnerships will be worth more than the domestic rights deals for the first time.

For the 2022 to 2025 rights cycle, The Times says international deals will be worth UK£5.3 billion (US$7.1 billion), up 30 per cent, while domestic deals bring in UK£5.1 billion (US$6.9 billion), with commercial partnerships taking the total to UK£10.5 billion (US$14.2 billion).

TV deal up to 2025

...... and on wages ...... from the BBC Football Gossip ....

Manchester City are ready to offer Norway striker Erling Haaland, 22, a new contract worth £500,000 per week in a bid to stave off interest from Real Madrid.

At the Premier League level this doesn't look like stopping anytime soon. Whether or not that further puts at risk clubs in the levels below is always a possibility.
