What player were you most pleased about leaving Boro?

Braithwaite and Digard. Both seemed to take an eternity to get out of the club. Financial millstones who we had to hoy around various clubs in Europe before we found anyone with enough wedge to take them off our hands.

Rudy Gestede, was a disappointing signing. Plus we kept him over Bamford.. it just never worked out. Adding insult to injury, him sacking us off at the end there.

Ramirez was shameful at Stoke, subbed at half time for not trying in such an obvious and disgusting way, so insulting to those like me who had travelled there and get that from arguably our most talented player
Plus us fans were in Stoke. I still had fun. Until I fell asleep stood up on a 90s nightclub dancefloor

He is my choice too. I do hope hope Barca win the title though but that’s because I love messi more than I dislike Braithwaite.

Very conflicted as I like seeing Messi score, the greatest player in the world, but I just really, really don't want to see Braithwaite lift a trophy.
It would vindicate his snake behaviour.

Cup final next week too, so I'll be rooting for Bilbao.

Any of the high wage, low goal SPL crew from Strachan's era.

Gestede and Alves should sit in on every transfer decision from now until 2040: human reminders of what happens when nobody has the courage to say "Err, actually..."

Barcelona 1-0 with a 90th minute winner from Dembele, they're now a point behind Atletico Madrid with a game against them still to come.

He's going to win the bloody double, I bet.

😭

Preferably not talking about Britt what player were you really pleased about leaving Boro in the past?

For me it was Mido , who just seemed to be a negative presence around the club

Gazza a distant 2nd, as he was way past his best - proved when he came back here for Everton in the cup match
Mido undoubtedly. We knew he was "temperamental" i.e. lazy and stroppy but when he arrived he was overweight as well.
Can I have valdes, barragan and Espinosa, all an absolute waste of time and money

Huge goal that was. Loved the reaction at the end.

Branco - fat drinking Buddy for the Brazilians
Mido - Just fat and expensive

Also didn’t like Ramirez attitude - the Bournemouth game did it for me. Away of course.

Marlon King was first name who sprang to mind. Thinking about it, probably Braithwaite and a bit of Downing.

See, I don't mind the players who were crap just because they were crap, so Gestede gets a pass.

It's the ones who had ability but underachieved constantly and were dressing room poison that really annoy me.

We have paid players well over the odds for years. The list is endless and frankly you sign them on a 4 year deal and you can't get rid because no fecker can pay then what we do.

The amount of players who cost a fortune who have left for nothing in recent years is mind boggling. Downing / Rudy / Fletcher / Britt.... That's some moneys worth😕. It's the worst business model ever...buy high / pay high and release for nothing.

It even goes back all those Strachan signings. Did we give them all away? I'm sure we didn't make any money on any of them. Don't get me started on Kevin Thomson (who?) and Miller🙄

De Roon. I don't care whether he 'does a job' in the CL for Atalanta or whatever and I know lots of better qualified managers rate him, but I simply hated the way he played football and I hated watching him and was delighted to get our money back. It was visceral. I also hated the way everyone bleated on about him being 'cool' purely because he was Dutch.

I think we signed something like 11 players from the Scottish leagues, 7 from Celtic, and might have made some money back on Scott MacDonald. I'll look it up now.

Strachan's Scottish signings:

In:
Scott McDonald (Celtic) - 4.3m
Barry Robson (Rangers) - 1m
Lee Miller (Aberdeen) - 600k
Stephen McManus (Celtic) - 500k loan
Willo Flood (Celtic) - Free
Chris Killen (Celtic) - Free
Kevin Thomson (Rangers) - 2.5m
Stephen McManus (Celtic) - 1.8m permanent
Andy Halliday (Livingston) - 250k
Kris Boyd (Rangers) - Free, crazy wages!

Out:
Kris Boyd - 2m, how did we manage that!
Everyone else - Free

Never look at the list of Boro signings 2008-2014 on Transfermarket, it's a seriously depressing walk down memory lane 😁
