What is the future of Middlesbrough FC?

I see a really bright future for us. Early days but its great to see that everybody is pulling in the same direction from the top down.

Financially we've got some very saleable assets so I'm not worried about that.
On the pitch I think under Carrick we'll really push on. He's got a young but still pretty experienced coaching set up and the players seem to have really took to him.
Looking forward to the next 3/4 games then seeing the beginning of a harmonius relationship between DOF and head coach start in January.

Results wise, I predict we get promoted within the next two seasons.
I feel like the Carick factor and strength of his name is a huge attraction for players, even more so than Karanka and I think we'll see some very talented players come in and be the next generation of Boro heroes!

I'm optimistic

Come on Nosmo don't take things so personally.... I certainly don't, Bumface accused me of being in his garden the other night in the dark peering into his lounge and I just laughed it off....no harm done 👍

PS His place could do with a makeover 🤣
Pal I will take things on the chin and do so! But when someone invents where I live, claim I am a drain on the State ( paraphrasing) that I continue working because I have to and through bad financial planning, insults my wife, these are too much and beyond the pale. Over to admin. I have print offs of the slanderous posts made by the individual.

I completely agree with that Morton, good post we've got the makings of a good team and our squad is looking stronger.... bringing through some youngsters into the first team together will be the key for me as it has been with successful Boro teams in the past 👍

What sellable assets do we have? Fry is the only one worth over 10 million

Does anyone know why Gibbo hasn't just written off the debts to other group companies?

Does it effect the value of the Bulkhaul brand or companies, does it have an effect on Gibson O'Neil credit rating for future loans etc? (if they wanted to do that)

It makes us look a complete basket case financially, I assume in his head Gibbo has written the money off anyway? As @indeedido has said it ties the club and Gibson together (seemingly in a debt/death spiral with no end) and makes us unsellable.

Is it as simple as he thinks if we get up, after three frugal seasons in the PL, we'd be able to pay Gibson O'Neil back? Meaning his businesses (and personal wealth) will be on a great footing and the club would be running at a profit, and he'd be able to either sell the club outright, or seek outside investment?

If we can follow this new vision plus stop the reliance on loan players while keeping stability at management level, no reason why we can’t be successful. But they need to realise it all takes time, no point in hitting the panic button again the second thing get tough, sacking the manager and bringing in an entire new squad every season will get us nowhere
We haven't done that every season though. In the last 10 years we've had Mowbray for multiple seasons, Karanka for multiple seasons, Pulis for his full contract and Warnock for multiple seasons. There's only Monk, Woodgate and Wilder who didn't last a full season. It's hard to disagree with any of those decisions either.

I think Carrick will be here for a while and will bring that stability. Hopefully he can bring some success as well. The issue really is if we go up, we turned on Karanka for not having a go, despite the fact we were absolutely I'll equipped to compete in the Premier League. Had Boro fans stuck behind him I believe he'd have took us back up and we'd have been in a much better place.
