What is the best thing you have won in a competition?

As a family we won the maximum payout of the Donkey Derby at Butlins Skegness. Approx 1984. We were only the second people ever to win the jackpot, sort of an accumulator maybe. £769.07p. I'll remember it forever. I think i was 12 years old.
We shared it out amongst 6 of us. 4 kids, 2 parents. I think the 4 of us kids got £125 each. We stopped off at Armstrong cycles on the way home and bought 4 Raleigh Burners off the shelf. 2 blue, 2 red. We rode them the rest of the way home past Clairville stadium and the big boat. What a memory.

I was a "comper" many, many years ago, entering dozens of competitions a day. Didn't get any big wins but it used to be a nice little earner.

But my favourite win was a much more recent one. I filled out a survey last year just so I could rant about an organisation that had ***ed me off, and they ended up picking me in their prize draw. Not often someone pays you £100 to slag them off.

I won some trainers on Mark Page’s “idiot trivia” Radio Tees show when I was a kid. They were meant to be smart £100 worth, but when I picked them up they were just ***** cheap reebok ones. Never trusted that bloke after that.

Never won a thing 😵
In fact, I've actually stopped entering competitions of any sort due to my history of lucklessness which sort of guarantees a lack of future success 😁
Just to reinforce my absence of luck, since the lottery has gone to £30 for 3 numbers I haven't got 3 numbers on my weekly lucky dip ticket.

I won a pub competition run by Heineken - fastest person to reshuffle some shapes to make a picture. I then found out the prize was a choice between a day's course in either hang gliding or parascending. I did not turn up to redeem my prize!

I won a set of personalised signed books by an author I like(Ben Kane) is probably one of my best wins.
Worst was a decent quality crate of wine, why is this the worst you may ask, well I don't bloody drink 😂
