What is the best thing you have won in a competition?

We just won 20 Errea team tracksuits printed with team logo for our junior football club. Not sure exactly how much they are worth but would guess £40 each minimum so a decent prize.

Competition ran by Arnold Clarke and has their name printed on them as well.

Was one of the runner up winners in the "identify the player by their eyes" competition held in Red Roar.

For some strange reason I (well, my dad) had to go to the Gazette Offices on Borough Road to collect it.

My name is in the back, along with all of the other season ticket holders from the 96-97(?) season

Won EFL fantasy manager of the month some time around 9 years ago !
Took them 6 weeks to negotiate with me getting my prize which was a full day out hospitality package at an EFL game of my choice. Obv I chose Boro
Over the next few weeks due to Boro hospitality running different events and it was coming to end of season there were only 5 home games left and only 2 they could offer me two tix for. Living in London and having other things going on and I wasn't going to the games by then as had previousy given up my season tix , once they limited it to 2 games only I knew it was going to be difficult for me to fit around it. Long story short, I tried hard, but couldn't make it work for me so gave the tix to a friend I had attended matches with for previous 8 years. He took his Mrs and of course they had a wonderful day out and reported back to me. I cried all week , and stopped being interested in EFL fantasy manager anymore 😔

A weekend at the Langham Hilton in London for 2, with first class rail travel thrown in.
All for competing a brief survey on business travel.

In the 2002/03 season i had a season ticket in the West Stand Lower towards the away fans. At half time me and my mate would always head down the steps to be pitch side. The half time game at that was kicking the ball from three distances getting further away from the goal - the goal had banner across the bottom that you had to get the ball over.

Whoever was due to do it that day was a no show and they came over to the side of the pitch asking for anyone to volunteer, no way i wasn't taking my chance to get on the pitch.

Managed the pressure and executed 3 perfect efforts over the banner and into the goal. My prize? a CD player. Sadly to this day no CD player was ever received. The only positive was a picture with John Hendrie who was the Half Time guest.

A silver fountain pen for coming first in the Sunday Times Cryptic Crossword Competition was my favourite success.

A Nintendo Gameboy when they first came out.. I got a free stick on tattoo transfer with a pack of crisps.

I was so excited I didn’t actually look at the stick on transfer tattoo before I stuck it on
‘WINNNER’ - no so much of a great transfer

Very disappointed.. gutted.. I was dirt poor.. couldn’t claim the prize cos I'd stuck the thing on my arm.
