What has been your most ‘rock and roll’ moment?

Had some minor beef with Paul Weller once in a hotel bar near Guildford. I don't fully remember what happened, I think I was talking to his missus at the time. I was drinking a tequila sunrise at the time which tells you all you need to know

I imagine stories involving Paul Weller being grumpy and Paul Wellers many wives are a fairly large category!

After a Simple Minds midweek gig at the Rock Garden, 79, must have been 40 at the gig, the band came round flogging their debut single - Chelsea Girl I think it was. I remember buying one off Jim Kerr because I felt sorry for them :ROFLMAO:
Playing pool with the Damned at the Acklam pub before a rock Garden gig.
At yet another Clash gig, been recognised by Mick Jones outside the venue, but calling us "them Geordie boys are back" :(
Been handed a load of tissues by Siouxsie Sioux because I'd bust by nose at a gig
Chatting to Adam ant after a gig...before he went all Prince Charming etc
Many other great punk days memories hitching around the country.

Went to see manic street preachers play at Cardiff castle, morning after the gig I walked out of greggs and met James dean bradfield. Said ‘good morning James’ and he replied ‘good morning mate’.

My missus was there and asked me how do you know him 😂😂👏👏.

About a month later I saw them at sedgefield weekender and I swear to this day he recognised me during his sweet child o mine solo and came over and nodded to me in the front row.

Drinking with Shane Warne, Brett Lee and the rest of 2005 Aussie cricket team in Malmasion in Birmingham after their defeat to England at Edgbaston.

Having a **** beside Jarvis Cocker in The Leadmill in Sheffield.

Drinking with Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Phil the Animal in Leeds University Union bar before their gig ..... well I say "with" them - I was in the same room . Cracking blokes though.

They were in the bar for about 3 hours, necking drinks like you wouldn't believe, and they went straight from there onto the stage

If we are moving onto "people you've had a p*ss next to", had one next to Marc Riley - Mark and Lard - in Cineworld in Didsbury.

Steve Harper used to frequent the same local. Turned up one night with Shay Given. I was a bit p*ssed, walked over to him and said "Now then Ted" (think late 90s Fast Show.....). Didn't look happy, which was fair enough.......😬. But that's football, not rock n roll.......

Being introduced to Johnny Marr's daughter who then proceeded to get me an AAA pass from her mam to his dressing room, where we had a bit of a chat at Manchester Aviva Studios. A proper 'play it cool, trig' night.

Putting up the Cattle and Cane guys for the night after a Manchester gig.

Performing a set at the Georgian for a joint birthday. I even got a rider.

Drunkenly chatting with Guy Garvey in the very bar that provided the lyric 'there's a hole in the neighbourhood down which of late I cannot help but fall'
Britons Protection? Think that was his local at one point?

Was a great pub for years but the service was pretty poor last time I was in there.

No, the Temple of Convenience on Oxford Road, used to be a public toilet. Great jukebox. Big Hands and Night and Day were his other haunts. Britons Protection is a dusty old gem. I once sat next to Maxine Peake having a swift pint of something proper socialist in there, and at Christmas at last orders you often have to queue for a drink next to the Halle Orchestra in all their finery after they've finished their show at the Bridgewater across the road.

I bet that ruined his quiet night watching a film though? "Awww it's in me popcorn"
