What has been your most ‘rock and roll’ moment?

Great thread this..

Amazing how you can have content like this and then still have trash like the "can we count to a million" thread on the same board.

Warrants for my arrest in Indiana and Maryland.

Being asked to leave the Sacred Tree Circle at Glastonbury.

Getting engaged to Lauren Laverne when drunk.

I've mentioned this recently. packing and loading up the shop-loaned drum kit for the Toy Dolls Top of The Pops appearance in 84 or 85...

I remember doing a gig at the Studio in Hartlepool and first being shown to the dressing room, then asked by one of the sound guys how I like my amp miking up.

Two issues...
1 - I had no other clothes to change into.
2 - I had never needed to be miked up before, so how would I know?

We went on to support a couple of named artists at Harveys, but that was that :)

Moving into least rock n roll

Went to a wine bar early afternoon in the 80’s in North London
Me and my mate.

Only other person in there sat at the bar was Mike Nolan of Buck’s Fizz.
Cut a lonely figure so we just had a chat with him, had our glass and left him to his musings

Been paid (in beer) by China Drum as "official" stagedivers.

Getting handed a can of Red Stripe from Oasis' rider by Liam following their concert at The Arena when sneaking back stage (as we used to often)

Sitting next to Kelly Jones in the bar of the Mandarin Oriental before we both went to watch Springsteen at Hyde Park and pretending I didn't have a clue who he was.
It was ridiculously easy to sneak backstage at the arena wasn't it?!

Telling Alex Turner about the Town Hall ticket fiasco as he was heading in to rehearse at their 'secret' gig. The band then released their 20 odd ticket allocation for the people in the queue. Luckily me and my old man made sure we where front and centre and ended up getting in for free.

Being introduced to Johnny Marr's daughter who then proceeded to get me an AAA pass from her mam to his dressing room, where we had a bit of a chat at Manchester Aviva Studios. A proper 'play it cool, trig' night.

Putting up the Cattle and Cane guys for the night after a Manchester gig.

Performing a set at the Georgian for a joint birthday. I even got a rider.

Drunkenly chatting with Guy Garvey in the very bar that provided the lyric 'there's a hole in the neighbourhood down which of late I cannot help but fall'
