This how I used to refer to our opening 15/20 mins under wilder when he first came we’d thunder at sides from the kick off and complete go at them forcing sometimes two or three key saves in the opening spell and nearly always result in an early corner.
It was exhilarating it was breathtaking almost a gung ho style and often it worked. Taking early leads to show our dominance even away from
Home.
But now…..
There's been much more Shock and Aw ( followed by an extremely loud expletive ) at my place than expected.
I'm in shock at how easy we make other teams, look good.
I'm in shock that we can only play for half a game, the line up, substitutions, the inability to change tactics when things aren't going to plan.
I'm in shock with the ins and outs at the club.
Yeah, I'm well and truly shocked.
For the Aws, there's been zillions of them throughout the games.
Aw FCUK, when we give the ball away so easily.
Aw FCUK when we can't get a shot on target.
Aw FCUK when we can't get the ball past the first defender.
Aw FCUK when we have a corner and give away a free kick whilst the ball is still in the air.
Aw FCUK when we find it easier to miss the target when faced with golden opportunities.
Aw FCUK " when you could see that coming " but sadly the Boro and management didn't.
Aw FCUK, AW FCUK, AW FCUK, AW FCUK, Aw FCUK, FCUK ME, FCUK ME, FCUK ME DEAD is all my neighbours get to hear throughout the
night or early morning hours here in Oz.
My wife, though not a Boro fan, is also in shock.
She is shocked that the man that she married holds the world record for the amount of expletives that can be yelled at the top of ones
voice during a ninety minute session.
Yep, me, my wife and my neighbours are well and truly in shock and I don't feel that the club has let me down one tiny little bit.
On the contrary, they have far, far, exceeded my expectations of " Shock and Aw "
