You can eat it straight out of the tin. Spam sandwiches with lots of butter on the bread is lovely.

I don't get people looking down on Spam. PEK is nice, too.

My Nan used to use tinned pork and ham, a practice which went back to the post-war era, where rationing was still in place well into the 1950’s. There was a generation who had to conserve food and be creative, creating meals for their families using "the basics".

Was probably class when you were used to rations

Now I'd probably rather have rations
