What do we need in January

I think all over the pitch we have good players just short of a goalscorer upfront that's not taking anything from Coburn he has a big future.

Its too early to say I think, what we'll need. If Clark is as good as we hoped he'd be when we signed him, we won't need another CB.
If McGree, O'Brien and Forss are fit again we don't need to strengthen the midfield.
Our strikers aren't prolific but they work well with the team and the team is scoring goals. I think we're actually in a better place squad wise than we were last season before the window.
 
In the summer we bought wisely very impressed with the keeper,Rav , Smallwood and Rodgers will get better I think we are a striker short .

I'd like for us to sign a RB, DM and ST.

I agree with others that we still lack a ball-winning midfielder, and I feel this will really help us not to leak so many goals away from home.

I'd also look to loan out Silvera and Gilbert, preferably to League One clubs.

If we did that, I think those would (at least potentially) be two of the worst bits of transfer business we could do.

Certainly, the first one would be.

Hackney is pivotal to our chances of making the play-offs and/or gaining promotion. There's no way we should be selling him before the end of the season at the earliest.

Langstaff would be a massive, massive gamble. I've watched him play quite a bit and I haven't seen enough from him to suggest he would do well in this league or in our team.

we leak goals , every team we play looks like scoring , so is it a tweak in the defence , or defensive midfield ?

Clark could be an important player, if he stays fit and gets back to his best.
I suppose to some extent we leak goals because of how attacking we are, same as last season, especially away from home.
So we've conceded 10 in the last 10 league games, but we've scored 22.

Then we have Tommy Smith injured Darragh Lennihan both out for the season. Paddy McNair is out of contract.. bringing in a defender would make sense even with the return of Matt Clarke. 21 or under.. one for the future. I don’t think it will be Ahmed Hegazy at 32yo

Nathaniel Adjei sounds interesting.. sounds very much like a Tony Mowbray signing at Sunderland.. plus I think his old manager is at QPR now.. tricky.

Charlie Cresswell gas been linked before and not really been played much at Leeds.. get a bit of a bundle deal sorted perhaps.

Nat Philips from Liverpool.. highly rated.. we’ve been tracking him for a few years.. I think his family has links with the club.. Jonathan Woodgate will defo know him and be aware of him as a player. Loan deal at Celtic runs out in January.. I don’t think he’s played too many games for them. Sets us up nicely for a deal to be done in January.

26 years old would see someone go out on loan.. Bryant Bilongo perhaps?
